VOLK - Edward A. January 18, 2010, of Hamburg, NY, beloved husband of the late Catherine Connors Volk; dear father of Sharon (Edward) Lyng, Deaune Volk and the late Edward (Eleanor) Volk; grandfather of 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; brother of the late Mildred Volk; survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the LATIMORE-SCHIAVONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 8434 N. Main St., Angola. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, Blasdell, at 9:30 AM. Please assemble at church.

Aunt Jane (Parker)Barrett

It is deep regret that I report that my Aunt Jane Barrett (my mom's sister) passed away yesterday, January 8, 2010. She was 83 and suffered from lung cancer. She died peacefully with her youngest daughter Lynn at her side.

Her husband Francis "Cy" Barrett died seven years ago.

Jane and Cy Barrett have eight children, many of whom spent warm summer days on Sandy Lane in Angola with the Volks, Connors and Canonicos.

Her children are: Susan Kreuzer (Buffalo); Jim Barrett (Buffalo); Pat Daleo (Hamburg); Terry Barrett (West Seneca); Timothy Barrett (Tempe, AZ); Michael Barrett (Niagara Falls); Thomas Barrett (Buffalo) and Lynn Markel (Orchard Park).
